I LOVE MY SCHOOL

As of today, Truett is receiving a recommendation for reaccredition from the Association of Theological Schools for the maximum allotment of ten years. This is quite impressive for a school that is just over ten years old and hasn't even had its own building for more than five years. Truett has risen out of the ashes of an ugly conflict within Baptist life, and it has created a truly wonderful environment in which students entering into the ministry can learn, grow, and ultimately flourish into the people that God would have them become. It's funny how God takes people and situations that are so broken and mends them into something beautiful. I thank God that I get to be a part of such a place, and I look forward to the great things that the people of Truett Seminary will accomplish for the Kingdom of God.

Truett is my school. I just let you particiapate in it. On top of the fact we will get the ten years, the only two recomendations that ATS made, Truett had already mead in their self study. Glad you go to my school.

Grace and peace

I'd love to learn from Truett. I wish they had some kind of distance learning or other options for those of us who can't leave current ministry obligations to become full-time students.

Any inside scoop on the future of any such programs?

Do you mean recommendations that Truett made for itself?

Groves - Any inside scoop on the future of any such programs?

No inside scoop here. Sorry. But, hey, you could always commute from Tennessee.

Oh, and Chris - you have created a false dichotomy by arguing that this is your school and not mine. It's not a question either/or but, rather, a question of both/and. You see, Truett Seminary is both your school AND my school.

Yeah Halpinator. Truett, in their solid year, 260 page, self-study recomended two changes for itself. ATS' two recomendations coincided with Truett's. More diversity in the faculty, and the other has to do with student evaluation (grading). The later is always recomended to every school.

As to the diversity, they are still bringing in people to interview for three professor spots. They should just hire me.
